Welcome to the American Brewers Guild’s Correspondence (Distance Education) Program Demonstration Site. This demonstration site is designed to give you a taste of what a brewer will see, experience and learn, in our state-of-the-art distance education program. Firstly, why do we call it a Distance Education Program. We call it a Distance Education Program because it is so much more than the traditional correspondence program. In a correspondence program, you receive written materials in the mail, read and study them and respond to the school via the mail. In our Distance Education Program, you received professionally produced video-tapes of class lectures, written brewing texts, custom produced supplemental lecture notes, diagrams and information. And most importantly, you will be inconstant contact with your instructors and fellow students through the Guild’s custom web-site devoted to the Distance Education Program.

So take a few minutes and peruse this unique brewing education site. The site includes exhaustive information about how the program works, a week-by-week breakdown of the course schedule (videos, readings and much more), a sample of the message board, the chat room, quizzes, the real-audio file and supplemental links and resources. [Note-This is only a demonstration site. Students in the distance education programs are given a password allowing them access to the actual remote American Brewers Guild distance education site.]
