American Brewers Guild 2023 Scholarship Grants

The American Brewers Guild is proud to announce two new Scholarship Grants. The ABG Greg Noonan Industry Grant; celebrating the life of Brewer Greg Noonan, and the innovative impact he had on Brewing through the Vermont Pub and Brewery. The second grant we are introducing is the ABG Sensory Grant, a grant dedicated to highlighting the importance of technical sensory and sensory training.

Grant proposals are open to any prospective student that is applying, or has applied to the American Brewers Guild that plans to attend a session in the upcoming calendar year. This is open to all classes: IBSE, CBA, and Working Brewers. The deadline for grant proposals is December 1, 2022. Grant recipients will be announced in January of 2023.

ABG Grant proposals will only be considered if the student has also submitted an application. Awarded grants must be applied in the upcoming calendar year, in either: the January or the June session. Awarded grants will be applied towards the remainder of the total tuition only. Grants will not rollover towards a future year. If the student has applied, been accepted, but are unable to use the grant in the upcoming calendar year, the student must resubmit a grant proposal for when they are able to take the class. Grants may not be combined with full tuition scholorships. 

 

American Brewers Guild Greg Noonan Industry Grant

Awarded up to $5000 towards total tuition

In as little or as many words as you need, answer and describe the following:

• How will you benefit the Brewing Industry, Why does the industry need you?
• How will you make the Brewing industry more inclusive?
• Describe a beer that changed your life.

 

American Brewers Guild Sensory Grant

Awarded up to $2000 towards total tuition

In as little or as many words as you need, answer and describe the following:

• How is sensory important to the Brewing industry and/or other industry?
• What do you hope to gain with sensory training and experience through the ABG?
• Describe a sensory experience of significance to you.
